Castelli released the first information on the all new Alpha jacket.  It is something different if that is what you are looking for.  It is made of Windstopper 150 fabric that is wind proof and water-resistant.  I've never seen this fabric in any other jacket.  You can see the video here.  Reviews will come out soon.  The best part about this jacket?  If you overheat on your climb, unzip to cool down the perfect amount!

In comparison, the Castelli Zoncolan jacket from Winter 13-14 has Windstopper x-fast 2 fabric with fleece on the inside and the fabric is breathable.

We probably won't purchase this Castelli jacket and instead buy some "soon to be sale" last year winter Castelli gear.  And, we plan to buy a 2nd trainer so we don't have to take turns cooking, eating, and using the one trainer we have.
